Our 2016-17 Salon Series: Reading #1, ALL FALL DOWN by Lisa Ramirez.
Join us for the first Salon Series Reading of the 2016-2017 Season: ALL FALL DOWN by 3GT Resident Playwright Lisa Ramirez.
ALL FALL DOWN is a ‘memory play’ that begins on the day of the funeral of Bobby, the youngest child and only son of Rose. Two sisters, Jackie and Grace, struggle to maintain their versions of the past and the events that led to this loss. Set in the (now abandoned) house where they grew up, the ghost of Bobby, Rose and the Chorus of the Past control the play’s shape and substance, forcing the sisters to examine their own beliefs, truths or half truths about what really happened in the house. ALL FALL DOWN examines the themes of addiction, grief, cultural identity, forgiveness and freedom.
ALL FALL DOWN was conceived/written in 2012 at INTAR during the Maria Irene Fornés Hispanic Playwrights in Residency Lab.
