COVID-19 ALERT: NEW WORKS FESTIVAL POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: 3GT NEW WORKS FESTIVAL POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Dear Friends:
I regret to tell you that as of March 12 we’ve postponed the 2020 3GT New Works Festival and all other 3GT events through the end of April. To protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19, our Festival venue, Z Space, is prudently following the most recent guidance of the Governor and the California Department of Public Health to postpone all non-essential gatherings. You can read Governor Newsom’s full executive order here.
We’re of course sad and disappointed that we can’t bring you the wonderful work of nearly 100 theatre-makers who put their time and talent into creating an unforgettable “Reimagining Women’s History” celebration. But the safety and health of our community-artists and audiences alike-is our top priority. The good new is that the 3GT team is already hard at work exploring options to reschedule the Festival events once the current threat has passed. We hope to have details for you about rescheduling next month.
In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy (and at an elbow-bumping distance of 6 feet!) All of us at 3GT look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre soon.
Warmly,
AJ Baker, Executive Artistic Director & Founding Playwright
