3GT Company Members in the Spotlight: Lisa Ramirez

3GT Associate Playwright Lisa Ramirez  was just named a Resident Playwright by Playwrights Foundation in San Francisco.  The prestigious fellowship has a four-year term and is intended to give mid-career playwrights an artistic home base from which to develop their professional careers.  Congratulations, Lisa — we’re so happy to have you back in the Bay Area where you belong!

You can see Lisa performing her funny, moving one-woman show, EXIT CUCKOO (nanny in motherland), at the intimate Blueprint in Oakland through the end of the month.  Described as “a journey through the looking glass of a divided country in which the essence of motherhood is being sacrificed on both sides of the economic divide,” the show is directed by Michael Moran and produced by Ubuntu Theatre Project.   It’s a TBA Recommended Production with a very short run — don’t miss it!
