THE LIES THAT BIND by Victoria Evans Erville
SUNDAY, JANUARY 12, 2-4 PM, DOORS OPEN 1:30 PM
Chase, a recent widow and parent of a snarky teenage girl, returns to her childhood home after 27 years. She thinks she will just walk in, say her piece and go home. But family drama is never that easy. With several deep breaths and secrets of her own, Chase attempts to confront her demons, starting with her 62 year-old manipulative mother. Lies That Bind is both funny and brutal as the characters grapple with heartache, responsibility and the consequences of telling the truth.

ABOUT the Salon Series
3GT staged readings are script-in-hand, but our talented professional actors are so accomplished that you may forget its just a reading! Audience members enjoy the play and refreshments, and then get the opportunity to participate in a dramaturg-led conversation with the playwright, director and cast. Because these readings are part of 3GT’s core new play development program, playwrights may present their work in any phase of development. So you might see the very first reading of a brand new work, or a polished staged reading of a script that is ready for production. It’s a unique, insider way to be a part of the extraordinary experience of getting new plays from page to stage.
