Eric Reid is an Actor, Artistic Director and Producer. He’s the founder and Artistic Director of Theatre Madcap. Theater MadCap’s mission and continuing purpose is to promote our vision of Deliberately Diverse Theater as catalyst for social change and cultural understanding. We do this by providing accessible connection points for all races, genders, sexual orientation, classes and ages with a specific focus on exploring the commonalities of the human experience while celebrating the full spectrum of our ethnic diversity. Eric Reid’s life and art is dedicated to the examination of black and brown lives and the quality of those lives in America. He has been awarded the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts fellowship where over the next year he and 29 other fellows will be examining one very important question: What does EQUITY look like? Stage roles include Lee in TRUE WEST for which he received a TBA Award Nomination for Best Actor, a reading of the solo WHITE RABBIT, RED RABBIT in the SF International Arts Festival. He was seen in EMMET AND AVA. Earlier this year he directed YOUR GONNA CRY by Paul S. Flores.
