Jewelle Gomez is the author of seven books, including the double Lambda Literary Award winning novel, THE GILDA STORIES.  Her stage adaptation of the novel, “Bones and Ash” toured 13 US cities.  “Waiting for Giovanni,” her play about an imagined moment in the mind of James Baldwin, premiered at New Conservatory Theatre Centre which will produce her new play, “Leaving the Blues,” in spring of 2017.
