Kim has done many 3GT productions and readings as an actor, director, and choreographer working with AJ Baker, Lee Brady, Linda Ayres Fredrick, Elizabeth Appell, and Robin Bradford, as well as many of the actors and directors in the 3GT family. Acting credits include 2 of San Francisco’s longest-running hits, Bar None and Beyond Therapy, as well as favorites Four Dogs and a Bone and The Shadow Box. Kim’s won 2 Drama-Logue awards, and 3 Dean Goodman Choice awards. She co-starred (with Louis Parnell) in SF Playhouse’s first production, It Had to Be You, and played Dottie in their 2017 Noises Off!, a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle nomination for Best Ensemble and Best Production. Directing credits include Waiting for Godot, The Trip to Bountiful, I Never Sang for My Father, and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. In 2009, she directed the world premiere of Bill Bivin’s Pulp Scripture, sweeping the SF Fringe Festival with 8 awards, including Best New Comedy. Choreography credits for SF Playhouse include She Loves Me, A Christmas Story: The Musical, Sunday in the Park with George, and Dance Nation. Plus 3 BATCC Outstanding Choreographer Awards for My Fair Lady, Company, and La Cage aux Folles, as well as nominations from BATCC and TBA for Promises, Promises, Into the Woods, and Mary Poppins. She was co-choreographer for Abe Lincoln’s Big Gay Dance Party, awarded Best New Play in the 2009 NY International Fringe Festival. Since 2001, Kim has toured the continent starring in over 1,500 performances as “Sister” in all 7 installments of the hit one-woman comedy series Late Nite Catechism.
